Sage

Sage is a member of the mint family, and has a strong flavor. It contains high levels of Vitamin K, and minerals such as magnesium, zinc, and copper. Sage is good for oral health, and in Ayurvedic medicine is also used for clear skin and fighting bacteria. Sage generally has soft, fuzzy leaves.

Storage Tips:

To store sage, trim stems and keep in a jar of water, or wrap the stems in a damp towel and store in the fridge for 3-5 days. Sage is useful when frozen in an ice cube tray with water or olive oil for soups and cooking.

Uses:

Sage can be added to teas, pastas, salads, used in seasoning chicken, soups and stews, and much more.
