Sugar Snap Peas

Nutrition Information:

Sugar Snap Peas are a crossbreed of Snow Peas and Garden Peas, created in the 1970s. They are low in calories, and contain Vitamins C, K, Folate, and Fiber. They aid in improving gut health and reducing the risk of heart disease.

Storage Tips:

Store in a bag in the fridge. They have a little string to pull from one end to the other that is a little woody & stringy, so it’s nice to pull this away and discard. They can store for about a week. To freeze, blanch the pea pods and freeze in a single layer on a baking sheet. Once frozen, place in a freezer bag.

Uses:

Sugar Snap Peas are good eaten raw as a snack, with a slightly sweet flavor to them. They are also yummy stir-fried or steamed.
