Howdy Folks,
It’s so great when the farmers, who always need things done immediately, get things done immediately. One of our main tractor’s tire was leaking. First I called Alan, he doesn’t do beet juice and he didn’t have the right size tube. So he said, “Call Jerry”, but I told him I had and he, but he isn’t answering. This is when he told me that Jerry’s dad wasn’t doing so good. But he said, ”I also need juice in some tires.” I said, Where, soon without Jerry? He said, “Maybe try… The Good Tire in Kittanning.” “Ok, I’ll let them know you also want juice and maybe they can bring you up what you need at the same time.” It all went smooth sailing from there. I found The Good Tire company info, gave them a call and in 10 minutes we had the fix all organized. Forever Jerry Shoemaker has been at our aid to help us take care of our tractor tires. We all depend on him, but his dad isn’t doing well, so he’s got more important things to tend to at the moment. So we had to call elsewhere this time. It’s always good to have a back up source of help. The Good Tire Co. in Kittanning had the right size tube and the beet juice on hand. We called in the morning and they were out by the afternoon. Good ol’ neighbors working together to help each other out. Just in case you are wondering about the beet juice? It’s a non-corrosive, dense, non-freezing liquid that is considered a liquid ballast. It mostly improves traction and stability. The added weight helps prevent tipping and also helps out when pulling heavy implements. Who knew?
