Summer 2026 Week 13 Newsletter

Howdy Folks,

Thank you for your patience as we figure out how to have some farm events this year.  We have finally decided to stick with two days.  September 7th 2-6pm & October 12th 2-6pm  These are both Holiday Monday’s, Sept 7th, is labor day and then October 12, is Native Peoples Day/ Columbus Day.  Since both Chris and I attend markets on the weekends, it’s just too much for us to do a weekend event.  So we hope that you have the day off and you can come out and see where your food is grown and chat with your farmers and some fellow Who Cooks eaters.

Please fill out this brief google form here if you plan to come to either of our Open Farm Holiday Monday events. Filling this out gives us an idea of how many folks are coming, and we can reach out to you with a list of other things to do in the area, a link with directions, where to park once you arrive at the farm, etc.

These Holiday Monday Open Farm Events will both be Potlucks, but it’s no pressure!  If you aren’t up for it, can’t afford it, or just flat out not interested in this part, that’s fine, we still want you to visit, we will be providing some basic snacks and hearty soup.

Your Farmers,
Chris, Aeros, and the Who Crew

Muddy carrots getting dumped with the bin dumper onto the wash conveyor.

Jorge and his brother Marco are in charge at the packhouse. Here Jorge sprays with one arm and then flattens the down the carrots so that they lay flat in one layer on the conveyor as they enter the rinse conveyor machine.

Here is Marco on the receiving end of the rinse conveyor! He makes sure the carrots coming off the belt are actually clean and that they make it into the bin.

Right out of the washer, scrubed a bit, rubbed with olive oil and salt and then roasted at 400 degrees. Delicious!!
